MZ6T Series | PTC Thermistor Dedicated for Motor Protection
Product Overview
The MZ6T series is a wire-harness type PTC thermistor designed in accordance with international standards DIN 44081 / 44082, specially developed for over-temperature protection of motor windings and bearings. Embedded in the three-phase windings of motors, its resistance rises sharply when the temperature approaches the insulation class limit. Combined with a protector to cut off the power supply, it realizes rapid protection against overheating, overload and phase loss. It serves as a standard core temperature control component for industrial motors.
Working Principle
Low resistance at room temperature(R25 ≤ 100Ω / 300Ω), recognized as normal status by the protector;
When the motor overheats and the temperature reaches the operating temperature Tk, the resistance changes sharply to the kilo-ohm level;
Once the protector detects the high-resistance signal, it trips and shuts down immediately to prevent motor burnout;
The resistance automatically drops after cooling down. No replacement is required, and repeated use is available.
